As the years passed, the object was turned into a "dancing sun", the "angel hair" became "rose petals", and the entire phenomena was removed from the field of science and entrusted to the religionists...
Even though I'm not a Catholic, I was disappointed to learn the true story of what really happened at Fatima. Everybody likes a miracle -- especially me. But it turns out that the famous "Miracle of the Sun" was in many respects identical to a gigantic UFO sighting. The famous Marian apparitions of Garabandal, Spain included some bizarre aspects as well as occult UFO symbolism.
This should make us take a second look at all religious apparitions, visions and miracles. I do believe in the occurrence of true spiritual visions and miracles. Perhaps a real Mary does appear to people, but paranormal entities (i.e. jinn) are also adept at performing such "miracles". Islamic teachings about jinn say that some of them have always endeavored to make people worship them instead of God. This is called committing "shirk", and history provides ample evidence of such practices. Humans have always made various sacrifices to the "gods" and spirits. In many parts of the world they still do. On the other hand,
perhaps some good jinn are trying to advance human awareness or
motivate people to be more religious. Islamic history records accounts of jinn relationships
with saints. And what about that Hindu pantheon? They certainly look
like jinn! Four arms, blue skin, and elephant heads to boot! Many BVM (Blessed Virgin Mary) events contain psychokinetic elements which resemble poltergeist activity. Usually it is only little children who can see the Lady. The BVM event at Garabandal involved little girls. The little seers went into trances which sometimes lasted hours. They sometimes ran backwards in a trance at incredible speeds with heads back and eyes directed upwards towards the heavens. They didn't ever trip or bump into trees or anything. (How creepy! Doing things backwards is characteristic of demonic possession.) According to
John Keel in his book "UFOs: Operation Trojan Horse" the girls
described an occult symbol. To the Lady's right the girls
could see "A SQUARE OF RED FIRE FRAMING A TRIANGLE WITH AN EYE AND
SOME WRITING. THE LETTER WAS IN AN OLD ORIENTAL SCRIPT". The Nation OF THE THIRD EYE "There is no reason to think that the four children of Garabandal," Keel continues, "had ever seen, or even knew about, the eye symbol on the Great Seal of the United States. Nor is it remotely possible that the children, or any of the elders of Garabandal, could have known of the importance that this symbol plays in the silent contactee situation. In fact, very few ufologists are aware of it. Those mysterious 'MEN IN BLACK' who travel around the world in unlicensed cadillacs have reportedly been seen wearing lapel pins bearing the symbol. They have also identified themselves directly as being from 'THE NATION OF THE THIRD EYE.' So we call the symbol 'THE THIRD EYE'. It would be interesting to find out why some cultures regarded it as evil, while others used it to symbolize Deity." Why did the Third Eye appear beside the vision of Garabandal? Was it a symbol of identification? Or was it a warning?" Contrary to
all the attention directed towards the BVM in Catholicism, references to the mother of
Jesus are actually rather scant in the Bible. next: A Separate Stream: Alchemy, mysticism and the religion taught by Jinn
